PC update

So my computer arrived last friday as expected. It works fine. I was shocked to find my sister had sat on my Windows XP CD though, so it was cracked and installed Windows 2000 Professional instead. I downloaded XP Home but I am yet to use it because I don’t have any suitable blank CD’s. I’m not sure if that is because it was a lousy download or because of the CD’s. Hopefully the latter. The PC’s specifications can be found on the My Computers.

The PC came with a Nvidia TNT2 M64 16 MB VGA Graphics Card which worked quite well. My lovely friend Rose however has given me Nvidia GeForce4 MX 64 MB which has TV out and supports DirectX 9 which is a major upgrade on the older DirectX card. I am greatful for it. It’s wonderful. She has also lent me her copy of Sacred which I am enjoying. Thank you, Rose <3.

Well I must be off now, lots and lots of homework to complete.

So this is the new blog.

I have decided to give blogging another go, I have used many services in the past from LiveJournal to hosting my own, usually however they get neglected and disappear. So this is another attempt. I have imported my blog entries posted throughout this year, I seem to have had two blogging spurts and stopped. Hopefully this time will change that. We shall see.

I have been thinking about rolling my own weblog system and releasing it as open source. I will design the core system which will be extendible through the use of modules (think Post Nuke) and plug ins. In any case, if I get anywhere, I’ll blog about it.

I mentioned Sacred Nation in an earlier post, that will still be released but I have not worked on it for a month or two.

I have ordered a new PC off of eBay, the details are on the My Computers page under about. The one listed as Desktop. It was $89, and is much better then this piece of junk (the HP Pavilion 6306).

I went clothing shopping on Saturday. It was my birthday present from my Nana Bourke and Aunt Sara. I came home with 2 pairs of jeans, 2 shirts, 1 cardigan with hood, 1 pair of white Converse All Star shoes. I am in love with them. They are extremely comfortable. The bad news is I was planning to use my Weekend for homework purposes. Saturday was gone and Sunday I had to help my sister with her Greece assignment. I got nothing done. =/

I slept in this morning, woke up, everyone is awake, they did not bother to wake me up. I had no subjects this afternoon, so if I went, by the time I had a shower, got dressed and walked, the last class of the day would be over anyway. I really need to attend today as I had two days off last week because of my birthday and Mum’s laziness. OK, she is sick but still. She can drive. She has proven that.

That’s all for now, I think.
