		<description>Wamp is pretty slick. There is also XAMP for OSX ( http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-macosx.html ) for us Apple fans and Windows ( http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html ) and the same for Linux ( although a bit more full on http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-linux.html ).

Note though that the default WAMP/XAMP install is very open so don&#039;t use this in a production environment.

I personally use XAMP as the bassic for my local dev environment on OSX ( with the addition of ColdFusion ).
